Re: Adventure #1 -- The Road to Ruin
In a low tone "Ready your selves. For some reason I feel this knock will not be a welcoming one. God damn varmints should never be trusted..", Drakor will move up to the door and listen for anything odd, if nothing he will wrap the door with the secret knock provided then stealth into the shadows out of sightMalazek wrote:Hearing no objections, the goblin bangs his knuckles against Jasmine's armor, demonstrating the secret knock: bump ... bump-bump ... bump.Jasmine wrote:“I’ll let you live if you give me the knock. If there are no objections.”

Re: Adventure #1 -- The Road to Ruin
When Drakor listens at the door, he doesn't hear anything unusual ... or really, much of anything at all. So, he taps out the secret knock and retreats to the shadows.
Nothing much happens ...
... at first. After a few long moments, however, you hear a thud, followed by three more thuds and accompanied by the sound of wood scraping wood. Finally, the ruckus ends with a much louder thud and the door begins to swing slowly toward you. One lone goblin pokes his head out, white haired and bleary eyed. "Wud? Wo! Hume! NOOO!"
- OOC: The goblin is surprised. Please post an action, followed by an initiative roll for next round. (I need initiatives from everyone, even if you forgo taking an action).

"Drakor! Yank him out here!" says Jasmine, drawing her sword. She wished she had had the foresight to take up arms, but isn't all too experienced in this "Adventuring" biz.

Initiative
--OOC: should have readied and action for a call shot to the jugular so the goblin can't speak, lul.. Can i pull the goblin out with out initiative since we have the jump on him? If so i will attempt that, grapple roll or strength roll?
Drakor attempts to snatch the goblin from the keep, upon a successful grapple Drakor will cover the goblins mouth so he can not call in reinforcements and say to the goblin. "Shhsshh, shhh. We do not want to harm you, we just want some answers, however if you try anything we will Kill you." Looking to the group, "Someone peek in and make sure there's not another one inside the room."
Roll (Initiative): 6 + 1 = 7
Roll (grapple attempt, if roll is needed, no clue if there would be bonuses or not): 9
Roll (for my words of "wisdom" to the goblin if needed): 10 (yay) - 2 (doh, lol) = 8

Merrill is holding her action since the goblin is grappled.
OOC: Can't use the forum roller since I'm my phone, using a roller on my phone and got a 8 for initiative

Surprise!
It is obvious, however, that no other goblins have come to answer the door.

Drakor looks around for a dense patch of foliage large enough to hide the corpse and then drags the body over to it. He then searches the body and takes anything of value.
Drakor then heads back to the door, he uncloaks for a moment and smirks at the rest of the party, "Welcome to the den o' fun, shall we..." as if a doorman waving the group in.
Drakor then pulls his daggers as a dark cloud envelops him, "Someone disarm the trap if its active, it should be just inside the door. We need to be on the look out for the other traps the goblin told us about."

Thane will retrieve his javelin and look to the party for someone to lead the way.
OOC: Unless in some sort of civilization, Thane will default to leaving his stone skin up.

Re: Adventure #1 -- The Road to Ruin
As you pass through the door and into the goblins' lair, you find yourself in a small and dimly-lit chamber that was clearly a natural cave at some point in the past. The walls of the chamber are comprised of raw stone, hewn in some places and uncut in others. Stalactites crowd the natural ceiling above you. Yet, the goblins have added their own primitive construction to the place, as well.
The floor of the chamber is wooden, but rough, as if split timbers of various lengths were simply hammered into the earthen floor until they were level (or nearly level). At the far end of the room, a lopsided archway leads deeper into the lair; the arch itself was probably built from local stones, as no two are alike in size or shape. A narrow and winding tunnel is visible beyond the arch.
A small wooden table, covered in melted wax, sits in one of the corners near the door. A single candle, sitting in the center of the table, provides the only source of light.
You do not see any goblins.

OOC: Is Drakor taking loot and adding it to the party stash, or just taking it? My next post will depend on that.

The elderly goblin is dressed much like the others: shabby hides, a rusty dagger, and three silver coins. He does, however, have a shiny bronze key, hanging from a leather thong around his neck.Drakor wrote:He then searches the body and takes anything of value.

Taryk creeps forward to the tunnel entrance, paying special attention to the stonework. He silently begins a search down the tunnel pressing forward cautiously, actively seeking any threats.

- OOC: Please give me an "Initiative" roll against a TN of 7. If you roll 7 or higher, you grab the ledge (if you roll a Natural 10, you actually leap to safety). Otherwise, you fall into the pit and I'll need an Athletics roll to decrease the amount of damage you suffer.
