If the picking Dwarves are down, I am going to pry off the cover to the box before any more reinforcements come - will take 10 on Thievery=29 do it (also still Stealthing)?
O.O.C. - How long does it take for the trap to reset?

Malazek wrote:Davin quickly pries off the steel that encases the trap's mechanism, as Straegis and Alex and Mordax quietly prepare for battle ... within minutes, more dwarves DO come, drawn by the thunderous sound. They check the condition of their dead comrades, but seem unaware of the party's existance.
The trap takes only a few seconds to reset.

Peering through the peephole again, Davin sees three more dead dwarves (for a total of six), plus one more dazed and wounded.
I guess I could have stated this next part before ...
On the otherside of this door, there seems to be another hall running perpendicular to the one you were travelling through; across that hall is another set of doors, very similiar to this one. An iron valve juts out from the middle (opposite the gear box) and more runes are inscribed upon the opposite door as well.
Just to be clear, the dwarves were in the space between the two sets of doors.
Only one of them is still standing.

I pop the lock on the door and swing it wide, allowing my companion access to the stunned Dwarf beyond.

OOC: Actions? Initiative is probably not necessary, as everyone can be "readied" for when the door opens (meaning, everyone but Davin can act immediately after Davin opens the door).

O.O.C. - I didn't expect the Dwarves here. Let's question this guy and get some intel!

When Davin opens the door, Mordax throws his net over the lone survivor; with the power of the Queen, Vangg commands the fisherman's catch to slide into the room, net and all. You seem to have captured a dwarf.
The rest of the party watches in amazement, as the plan comes together.

OCC: Still in Mexico with spotty internet access thru Wednesday.
Can we magically send word to our Kobold friend up ahead since we aren`t catching up?

I will help drag the netted Dwarf back about 50ft, and then aid (take 10) who is interrogating. Hound growls menacingly.

Vangg thinks he's telling truth.Again, surveying his situation, the Dwarf responds "We just want to know where it leads ... mysterious doors to whoknowswhere in the middle of our homes seemed to warrant investigation."Verity wrote:"The loss of your comrades was regrettable but necessary, for many more lives are at stake if our message does not get through ... Vangg thinks he's telling truth."Travel? Um, I dunno what you mean by 'travel,' but there's two regiments stationed here; about 10,000 hearty dwarves. As far as how much further on you'll be encountering my kinsmen, well, I guess that depends on which way you're headed. If you're going north, then you'll be in our lands for weeks yet; if you're heading south, then maybe a day or two?"Verity wrote:"How many more travel with you? Diplomacy: 35 (with Davin's Aid)
Intimidate: 21 (with Hound's Aid)
Insight: 35.
That's three successes thus far. We'll call this one round of questions; each round of questions will require a new set of rolls (so, ... one Diplomacy, one Intimidate, and one Insight for every 3-5 Questions ... plus, whatever else someone wants to try).
