After Davin drags the raft, Alex suddenly finds himself face to face with an Aboleth! And far away from Verity and unable toget to him.
He lifts his arm in a clenched fist and opens it to face the Aboleth. The water around everyone surges into the air as boiling steam, swirling around the two monsters. His face is pained as he splits his concentration. The other half sending as much help as he can muster to Verity as a ghostly water glove coats his other gloves, and then shoots to his left to grab Verity in an attempt to help as much as it can. As he attempts to get closer to his drowning companion.

Standard: Scorching Vapour
Attack: 28 vs. Fort, 15 vs. Fort.
Damage: 13 Fire and Ongoing 5 Fire on a hit.
Minor: Mage Hand to help Verity with a 20lb pull.

DM EDIT: Shift to the Middle? Do you mean where all the water barrels are piled up? You need an athletics check to (DC 10) to shift there, and you can't Take-10 because you're in combat. If you don't roll before I post the recap, then I'll roll for you.

Init 21
Using the power of the Aqueas Templar, Verity becomes a powerful swimmer and pushes the massive raft! Doing so, he shouts for someone to throw the others a line!
Athletics 24 = 2 Squares
Init 20
Utilizing the slack rope, Straegis tosses a loop out for Mordax to grab ahold of.
Init 17
Davin tugs the rope again, and then fires two lethal shots into the troublesome Aboleth ... killing it.
Init 15
Swimming around the graveyard fog (not through it), the Slimemage finally catches up ... and it uses it's powerful psionics to Dominate Vangg!
33 vs Will (That means IT chooses Vangg's Actions). Save Ends.
Init 12
Juugug summons "Divine Aid" to save his friend from whatever doom awaits him.
Granting Vangg an immediate Save at +3.
I rolled an 18. Vangg is no longer Dominated.
(He is still Dazed, however, because he failed THAT Saving Throw).
Before Vangg can jump into the river, he breaks free of the Slimemage's will (with the Queen's help, of course); he's still a Dazed, but manages instill fear in the remaining Lasher. The Lasher flees at top speed.
As it leaves, Juugug swings his mace at it.
OA: Natch! 9 Damage.
Init 11
Mordax swims to the rope. Unable to hit anything with his hammer, he throws his trusty net at the Slimemage, but misses.
Hound swims after the raft, and get back on it. (No OAs were directed at him, so he used the rest of his round to get on the raft. Athletics = 15).
Init 10
Alex steps toward the middle of the portside, but Straegis is already there; so, he steps instead to the middle of the aftside, wherehe let's loose his patented Scorching Vapor on the only target in range: the Slimemage! Who is now blooded. Finally, the Maelstrom summons forth a water hand to help Verity push the raft.
Slimemage was the only target left.
Begin Round 5?
The Raft is only 10 Squares from Shore.

Issuing a divine challenge over his shoudler, Verity struggles to push the raft.
The raft moves 1 square to the left.
Init 20
After ensuring Mordax has enough slack, Straegis pulls the wagon closer and closer to shore.
The raft moves 4 squares to the left.
Init 17
Davin tugs the rope as well, and then sends two arrows into the water.
The raft moves 2 squares to the left.
Init 15
Answering the challenge, the Slimemage swims over to Verity and attacks him with it's tentacles! Capitalizing on it's sudden luck, it lashes out again with it's tentaces, hitting again!

30 vs AC; 26 Damage.
Init 12
Juugug tries to call upon the Queen's "Sacred Flame" to burn the monster.
17 vs Reflex; Miss.
Posting for Vangg (24 Hours) ...
Still Dazed, Vangg says a "Healing Word" for Verity.
Verity can spend a Surge and gain an additional 2d6+10!
Also, Vangg makes his Save (11) and is no longer Dazed.
Init 11
With the rope around his waist, Mordax swims after the raft; and then, the fisherman nets a monstrous a catch!
Note:The raft moves 7 Squares before Mordax's turn; and the Aboleth moved 10 ... so I had to adjust Mordax's movement (he went left two instead of right one) ... but he now has the Slimemage in his net.
Hound barks.
Init 10
Alex runs off the raft and attempt to freeze the Aboleth with "Blizzard Wave" ... but the aberration shrugs off the effects of the chill.
Begin Round 6?

That brings both Artifacts to their Max Concordance of 20.
_____ _____ _____ _____ _____
Suddenly, Davin cries out in agony and drops to the floor with uncontrollable suffering. Delerious with pain, he grabs his eye and bellows a low, pitiful moan. During this ordeal, Alex develops a splitting headache.
Hound barks and scampers over to lick his friend's face.
As quickly as it started, the pain ends. Davin looks up at his companions, apparently oblivious to what just happened or how he got on the ground. Alex's headache subsides, as well.
But he notices that he can longer see through the eyepatch ... it's almost as if he were wearing a normal, mundane eyepatch. Taking it off, he examines it, and realizes that the silver runes that were once etched on the inside of it are now gone; confounded, he looks to Straegis for answers.
Straegis, as well as everyone else, now sees that familiar silver rune etched onto the iris of Davin's left eye!!!
Slowly, the bright vibrant colors return to Davin's field of vision, even with the eyepatch off. And Alex becomes vaguely aware of this fact, even before Davin mentions it!
The "Eyepatch of Hemingr" has left, leaving a mundane eyepatch behind ... but Davin's EYE now possesses the following abilities:
Properties:
... +5 Perception
... +3 Thievery
... Darkvision
... Ignore Cover (but not Superior Cover)
... Ignore Concealment (including Total Concealment)
Encounter Powers:
... Standard: See Invisibility for the remainder of the Encounter
... Free: Add 1 die to a either Hunter's Quarry or Sneak Attack until the end of your next turn
Daily:
... Minor: Add 1 die to Hunter's Quarry and Sneak Attack for the rest of the encounter.
Furthermore, Alex's familiarity with the patch seems to be resonating with Davin's Eye!
As long as Davin is within Alex's line of sight, Alex gains the following benefits:
... +3 Arcana
... +2 Perception
... Darkvision
_____ _____ _____ _____ _____
NOTE: The AT does not leave like the Eyepatch did
Verity suspects that it has unfinished business.

DM EDIT: They are now!
(Start with 12+Con) + (5 per Lvl Gained) + (5 for Toughness)* = (12+[14])+(5x[8])+(5) = 26+40+5 = 71
*You were off by 4, but I fixed it (I think maybe you calculated Toughness as 1/Level like it was in DDO.
In 4e its' +5 in the Heroic Tier, +10 in the Paragon Tier, and +15 in the Epic Tier).

"Uhh...umm...I didn't do anything to it, Alex, I swear! How did this happen?"
Davin goes to hand the now mundane eyepatch to the Aquamancer. Then, blinking furiously, He continues with trepidation.
"Is there something wrong with my eye? It felt like the patch burned it...but now I can see better than before!"

Examing the rest of the cavern, he espies nothing remarkable. The stone ledge/shore on this side look much like the one on the other: about 110 feet long and five feet wide, with a small arched passage leading through he back wall ... unlike the passage on the otherside, however, no stairway is immediately obvious.
Davin stares down the narrow hallway, but sees only a tiny wooden door, about 100 feet down the corridor. If there's any traps in that hall, he'll need to get a closer look to know it.
