Before continuing, Elodie takes a moment to once again call upon the spirits for help. She then motions for Talmut to follow closely with the light, so that she is able to see the creature lurking in the next room. She steps forward, continuing to hold her spear close.

Wild Empathy check: 13 (6 + 5 Druid Level + 1 CHA + 1 Guidance)

The party moves around the corner, bringing the light to bear on the enormous eel. With her spear out in front of her, she tries to pacify the eel with her empathetic connection to nature. Suddenly, the eel turns and swims away, disappearing into the cloudy water. It seemed to be heading toward the archways on the west side of the room.

OOC: Did it work? Did it not? You're not sure yet.

After the eel swims away Jeremiah will sift through the bones (in G21). Also, if the party is able to proceed down the hallway unopposed he will inspect each statue along the way.

As Jeremiah begins to search through one of the piles of bones, Elodie moves towards the archway that the eel disappeared through, attempting to see through the murky water. She isn't sure why the eel swam away, and wants to find out where it went.

Jeremiah moves to the bones and begins to sort through them, but there are quite a few. The pile is made up mostly of fish bones; some large, some small. There are few, however, that look to be mammalian; maybe a beaver or muskrat made it down here and was eaten? Then, he finds what looks like a human rib.

Elodie moves to the archway and peers into the murky darkness, but she cannot see a thing beyond Talmut's light. Fortunately, the exotic wizard moves closer, bringing the light right up behind her. As he does, it shines through the archway and into the next room ... revealing a writhing, coiling creature up ahead. It's difficult to be sure, due to the filthiness of the water, but you believe it is the eel.

Then, suddenly, two more shapes burst from the archway on your left, disturbing the cloudy water and swimming into the room beside you. Two more eels?

When Jeremiah see's Elodie trying to communicate with the eels he will draw his bow and ready himself to fire an arrow at the eel.

GM Edit: Whats the trigger?
GM Edit: I'll just use your last Readied Action, again. If Wild Empathy fails, he will attack The Eel.

Talmut will ready an action to Acid Bolt one of the eels if they attack.  He will also command the dolphin to attack.

Jeremiah, Talmut, the Dolphin, and Gumphrey all ready actions.
- Jeremiah will attack the main eel, if Wild Empathy fails.
- Talmut and the Dolphin will attack any eel that attacks.
- Gumphrey will move behind the eels, if they attack.

Init 7
The eels circle for a moment, coiling in the water, and then, suddenly, they charge forward and attack!

Jeremiah's arrow goes off! His arrows slides through the water and sinks into the eel just as it reaches Elodie.
- Ranged Attack Roll = 21 (18 rolled +9 Attack -2 Underwater -4 firing into melee); Miss Chance = 53 vs. 20% (HIT)
- 6 Damage!
- Initiative becomes a 8.

Talmut's Acid Arrow goes off! The magical dart flies into the swirling water, but disappears somewhere behind the eel.
- Ranged Touch Attack = 11 (8 on the die); Miss Chance = 10 vs. 20% (Miss)
- Initiative becomes a 8.

The Dolphin meets the charging eel head on! It slams its head into the face of the charging eel, but the massive creature doesn't seemed phased by the attack.
- Slam Attack = 17 (12 on the die); Miss!
- Initiative becomes a 8.

Gumphrey makes his move.
- Acrobatics Roll = 25 (16 on the die)
- Initiative becomes a 8.

The biggest of the eels rushes forward and clamps his powerful jaws onto Elodie's forearm. Its long snake-like body continues forward, coiling and wrapping around Elodie's legs and waist.
- Bite Attack = 23 (11 on the die) 18 Damage plus Grab
- CMB Roll = 21 (5 on the die) vs. Elodie's CMD of 13. She is Grappled.

Another of the eels charges headlong into Talmut, pushing him back against the wall. Talmut almost loses his footing, when he is forced up onto the pile of bones. Elodie and the Dolphin both spot an unexpected weakness in the eels position, and descend upon it with spear and tooth!
- Bull Rush CMB Roll = 24 (12 on the die) vs. Talmut's 11 CMD. No Damage, but he is pushed back.
- Talmut's OA = 17 (17 on the die); Miss.
- Elodie's OA = 19 (17 on the die); Miss Chance = 36 vs 20% (HIT); 8 Damage.
- Dolphin's OA = 20 (15 on the die); Miss Chance = 97 vs 20% (HIT); 5 Damage.

The last of the eels charges the Dolphin, digging its needle like teeth into the porpoise's dorsal fin and wrapping its long, sinewy coils around the aquatic mammal's body. The Dolphin is badly hurt, spilling celestial blood into the water all around you. 
- Bite Attack = 19 (6 on the die); 14 Damage plus Grab
- CMB Roll = 35 (16 on the die) vs. the Dolphin's CMD of 14. He is Grappled.

Pulling both axes, Jeremiah swings, cutting deeply into the neck of the eel.
- 19 hits, 11 misses. Miss Chance = 54 vs. 20% (Hit)

Using the power of the Rod, Talmut carefully summons another of Ahu's most trusted emissaries; a shark!
- Cast Defensively = 21 (11 on the die) vs. a 21

The shark appears and immediately attacks, viciously biting into the flesh of the tasty eel.
- Bite Attack = 25 (16 on the die + 7 to hit +2 flank); Miss Chance = 35 vs. 20% (Hit); Damage = 10 Damage

Flailing with as much force as it can muster, the Dolphin attempts to batter its way free from the eel that has it.
- Slam Attack = 13 (6 on the die); Miss.

Gumphrey takes advantage of his tactical position, and buries his dagger into the eel's back. Then, he makes a break for it, tumbling past the eels and through the second archway, until finally he can swim up alongside Elodie.
- Sneak Attack = 25 (19 on the die + 5 attack +2 Flank); Crit Verification = 19 (13 on the die); Miss Chance = 65 vs. 20% (Hit); Damage = 24
- Acrobatics Roll = 25 (16 on the die)

Init 7
The eels continue to fight.

The eel that has the Dolphin held (I22) puts the squeeze on the celestial creature, even while trying to devour it ... but to its surprise, the Dolphin blinks out of existence.
- Gnaw Attack (Auto Hit) = 16 Damage
- Second Set of Jaws: Attack = 26 (13 on the die); 8 Damage

The eel holding Elodie (E22) holds tight, but continues to violently chew her arm.
- Gnaw Attack (Auto Hit) = 14 Damage
- Second Set of Jaws: Attack = 15 (4 on the die); Hit! 6 Damage

Seeing the Shark as the biggest threat, the last of the eels (G22) dips and twists to bite its attacker.
- Bite Attack = 17 (11 on the die); Hit. 14 Damage
- CMB Roll = 31 (15 on the die) vs. the Shark's CMD of 20. The Shark is Grappled

Init 2
Elodie is unconscious and bleeding ... she will be dead soon.
- Stabilization Roll = 0 (2 on the die -8 wound penalty). She does NOT Stabilize.
- That Brings Elodie to -9 Hit Points

Jeremiah continues to swing his axes at the giant snake-like fish, slowly whittling down its defenses.
-25 Hits, 15 Misses. Miss Chance = 31 (Hit).

Talmut summons a second Shark to assist.
- Cast Defensively = 22 (12 on the die); Success.

Both sharks attack, digging their many rows of teeth into long bodies of the eels.
- G24's Bite Attack = 27 (18 on the die); Miss Chance = 69 (Hit); 12 Damage

- J23's Bite Attack = 27 (18 on the die); Miss Chance = 34 (Hit); 14 Damage

Gumphrey kneels down, and attempts to force feed a healing potion to the downed Elodie. Doing so opens him to an attack from the eel, which lashes out with its powerful jaws and attempts to bite Gumphrey. Fortunately, Gumphrey is able to fend off the attacks and manages to get the magical liquid into Elodie's mouth. He pinches her nose, forcing her to swallow and gasp for air, thus taking in the healing potion. When her eyes open, he whispers, "Stay down a moment," before dashing off.
- Eel's OA = 15 (4 on the die); Miss.
- Elodie is healed 17 Hit Points
- Note: This was not the healing Potion Elodie made ... its one of the three potions he showed up with on his first day.
- Gumphrey moves to H24
- Acrobatics Roll = 26 (17 on the die)

Init 7
The biggest eel (E22) takes the bait and follows Gumphrey ... at least until it comes up against the Shark. When it sees the terror fish entangled by the other eel's coils, it decides to take a bite out of it.
- E22's Bite Attack = 13 (2 on the die) vs. 12 (Shark is -4 to Dex while Grappled); Hit. The Shark suffers 11 Damage.

The eel that's holding the Shark (G23) continues to chew and gnaw, until the Shark suddenly disappears.
- Gnaw inflicts 15 Damage. Second Jaws (19 to hit) inflict another 4 Damage. The Shark is destroyed.

The last of the eels (J23) turns on the new Shark, biting the face of the blue beast. The eel's tail coils toward the blue beast, but the Terror of Ahu thrashes back and force, using its muscled tail and body, to somehow prevent the eel from getting a hold.
- Bite Attack = 16 (5 on the die); Hit. The Shark suffers 17 Damage.
- CMB Roll = 18 (2 on the die) vs. the Shark's CMD of 20.

Elodie moves backwards just a few feet to avoid the eel beside her, and then attempts to mend her wounds, keeping one eye on the nearest eel.

Move: 5 ft. step to E-22.
Cast Defensively: 24 (15 + 5 Druid Level + 4 Wis)
Cast Cure Moderate Wounds, cures 16 HP.

OOC: For next round...

Feeling stronger, Elodie waits for an opportunity and then focuses on the eel in front of her, attempting to blast it with a bolt of steam--unless one of her teammates takes a major hit from the eels in the next few seconds, in which case she will attempt to cure them instead. 

Caster Level Check: 28 (19 + 5 Druid Level + 4 Wis)
Damage: 6

If someone is reduced below half of their HP, cast Cure Light Wounds, cure 6 HP.

Jeremiah swings both of his axes through the water, but only manages a couple of glancing blows.

Talmut summons yet another watery servant.
- Cast Defensively = 27 (17 on the die)

The Shark takes a large bite of one of the eels.
- Bite Attack = 27 (18 on the die); Miss Chance = 77 (Hit); 11 Damage.

The Dolphin seems confused by the swirling clouds of dirt and debris. It charges into the largest of the eels, but does so awkwardly, failing to cause any real damage. 
- Slam Attack = 24 (19 on the die); Miss Chance = 14 (Miss).

Gumphrey steps right in between the two closest eels and buries his dagger into the skull of one of them, killing it instantly.
- Stab Attack = 21 (14 on the die, plus Flank); Miss Chance = 33 (Hit); Damage = 7 Damage.

Init 7
The biggest eel continues after Gumphrey. Both of the eels decide to attack him, tearing his flesh with their needle-like teeth. Gumphrey quickly goes limp, pouring blood into the water all around him. If he doesn't get help soon, he's done for.
- Bite Attack = 19 (8 on the die); 11 Damage
- CMB Roll = 26 (10 on the die) vs. Gumphrey's CMD of 18; Gumphrey is Grappled.
- Bite Attack = 16 (5 on the die) vs. Gumphrey's reduced AC of 15. Hit. 18 Damage. He is unconscious and Bleeding.

Next Round ...

Init 2
Focusing her energies, Elodie fills Gumphrey with healing energy. His eyes re-open and starts to defend himself, again, but he's still not looking good.
- That brings Gumphrey back to a positive number of Hit Points.

Init 8
Reawakened, Gumphrey slashes at the eels with his dagger, but cuts nothing but cloudy water.
- Attack = 24 (19 on the die); Miss Chance = 14 (Miss)

OOC: Jeremiah and Talmut are up next. Same Initiative as Gumphrey.

Free - Send the Shark to H24 to attack -6 eel, send Dolphin to E24 to attack -6 eel
Standard - Cast Acid Dart Defensively at -49 eel

Cast Defensively - 12+10=22
Ranged Touch - 15+3=18 -4 firing into melee = 14
Damage - 2+2=4

If Jeremiah kills the eel in front of us, i'll attack the lone survivor instead...

Jeremiah finally connects, bringing both axes together against the creature's neck. It's head pops off, followed by a narrow stream of cold fish blood.

Talmut conjures forth another acid dart, which slashes through the water and burns its way into the eel's slender rib-cage.

Meanwhile, his summoned animals descend upon the last foe.
- Dolphin Slam Attack = 9 (2 on the die); Miss.
- Shark Bite Attack = 15 (6 on the die); Miss.

Init 7
The last eel maintains its hold on Gumphrey, crushing him with its powerful coils and chewing on his flesh with its deadly teeth. Gumphrey passes out from pain and blood-loss.
- Gnaw Attack (Auto Hit) = 13 Damage.
- Second Set of Jaws = 23 to hit (12 on the die); 6 Damage.

Init 2
Elodie begs the spirits to continue helping Gumphrey, and they do so. Suddenly, Gumphrey is awake and alert once more.

Next Round ...

Init 8
Using his one free hand, Gumphrey pulls his last healing potion from his belt and quaffs it down. (He still has two potions on his belt, but they aren't healing potions).
- Gumphrey Heals 7 Hit Points.

OOC: Talmut and Jeremiah are up again ...
